Job summary

NextGen Security in Midland, TX seeks an experienced electronic security service technician to join a fast-growing team. You will oversee field projects, program systems, activate and commission installations, and install field devices while servicing high-end security devices.

Some travel may be required. Minimum 5 years installing and maintaining enterprise-level access control, IDS, and IP video systems, with networking/IT knowledge and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading security projects.
• 3+ years supervising sub-contractors.
• Experience with enterprise-level access control, IDS, and IP video management.
• Familiarity with local electronic security codes and standards.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

What we’re looking for:

What you’ll be doing:

• Project oversight in the field

Minimum of 5 yearsofexperience with installing andmaintaining:

• Enterprise-level access control systems.
• Intrusion detection systems (IDS), both fiber and copper based.
• Enterprise-level video management systems (IP-based).
• Networkingand IT knowledge.
• Superiorproblem solvingandcommunication skills.
• Workindependently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarizationwith local electronicsecuritycodesand industry standards.
• Ability to safelyoperatea company vehicle.
• Understanding and ability to work safely in a chemical plant environment.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, MSProjectand other Microsoft products.

Preferred

• Access ControlSystemVendor Certifications in Software House,Genetec,Open Options,ProWatchand/or Lenel.
• Video ManagementSystemVendor Certifications inGenetec,OnSSI,MaxPro,and/or Milestone.
• Intrusion Detection System Vendor Certifications inSenstar/Optellios,and/or FFT.
• Experience incomputer operating systems,networkdesignand implementation.
• TWIC Cardholder.
