Job summary

NextGen Security LLC in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced electronic security service technician to join our fast-growing team. You will oversee field projects, program systems, activate and commission installations, install field devices, and service high-end integrated security devices.

Travel may be required. Candidates should have 5+ years installing and maintaining enterprise-grade access control, IDS, and IP-based video management systems, plus networking, IT knowledge and strong

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years installing and maintaining enterprise security systems (access control, IDS, VMS).
• Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, MS Project and other Microsoft products.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and operate a company vehicle.

What you bring to the table:

Minimumof5 yearsofexperience with installing andmaintaining:

• Enterprise-level access control systems.


• Intrusion detection systems (IDS), both fiber and copper based.


• Enterprise-level video management systems (IP-based).


• Networkingand IT knowledge.


• Superiorproblem solvingandcommunication skills.


• Workindependently with minimal supervision.


• Familiarizationwith local electronicsecuritycodesand industry standards.


• Ability to safelyoperatea company vehicle.


• Understanding and ability to work safely in a chemical plant environment.


• Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, MSProjectand other Microsoft products.

Preferred

• Access ControlSystemVendor Certifications in Software House,Genetec,Open Options,ProWatchand/or Lenel.


• Video ManagementSystemVendor Certifications inGenetec,OnSSI,MaxPro,and/or Milestone.


• Intrusion Detection System Vendor Certifications inSenstar/Optellios,and/or FFT.


• Experience incomputer operating systems,networkdesignand implementation.


• TWIC Cardholder.
