Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a System States & Controls Capability Lead (Staff Systems Engineer – Level 5) to join the Sentinel program. Location options include Roy UT, Bellevue NE, Huntsville, AL or Manhattan Beach, CA.

The role focuses on requirements definition, system modeling, verification, and cross-team collaboration to deliver reliable ground segment functionality. The candidate will lead engineers, define interfaces, build architectural models in Cameo, and drive MBSE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12 years of experience or Master’s with 10 years or PhD with 8 years of experience.
• US Citizen with active DoD Secret Clearance and within scope.
• 4 years of requirements management/analysis/allocations.
• 3 years MBSE practices and tools (Cameo, Rhapsody, MagicDraw).
• 5 years in C2/NC3, cybersecurity, or related systems domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of systems engineers to produce engineering artifacts across maintenance, operations, fault detection, and shutdown.
• Develop and mature off-nominal use cases and states for wing functionality.
• Develop system requirements and ensure traceability in the model.
• Create system architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture.
• Contribute to system requirements development and analysis.
• Develop model techniques and tools integration for the team.
