Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, Utah, seeks a Systems Engineering Manager 3 for the Command Systems Launch Execution Subsystems Lead. This leadership role will drive hardware engineering across Sentinel CS programs and coordinate geographically dispersed teams.

The role requires executive interaction, strong judgment, and robust program oversight, with US Citizenship and active Secret clearance. Relocation assistance may be available and the standard 9/80 work schedule applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 8+ years of related experience, or Master’s with 6+ years.
• Experience managing people is preferred.
• Experience designing and developing hardware.
• Experience with EVMS on hardware development programs.
• US Citizenship with active U.S. government Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive hardware engineering execution as a leader across the SDS Division portfolio of programs.
• Implement the vision for design engineering to execute hardware engineering for Sentinel CS Launch Execution Subsystems.
• Direct integrated hardware engineering processes across CS Organization and multiple locations.
• Foster empowerment and accountability to deliver on-time results.
• Manage development across weapon system engineering and hardware design activities.
• Provide proactive management of earned value metrics for subsystem design and integration.
• Ensure hardware product quality and oversee auditing and metrics.
• Collaborate with CS Hardware Design lead and program teams to set engineering priorities.
