Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field related to power systems or engineering preferred.
• Master’s degree in Education or related experience with instructional skills desired.
• Associate degree or equivalent with relevant certifications required.
• Five years of related technical or scientific training experience.
• Experience delivering training to technical learners (trade school/college).
• Working knowledge of energy management or control system software.
• Experience with training simulators (OTS or equivalent).
• Experience in power system training or instructional design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of SAT for System Operator Training programs.
• Collaborate with NPCC NYCA and North American transmission owners for joint training.
• Conduct Job Task Analysis with Grid Operations to update tasks per PER-005.
• Document and maintain training records for audits and compliance.
• Develop training content for NYCA transmission system operations.
• Lead UAT with Grid Operations for new projects using the OTS.
• Contribute to curriculum improvements as part of the CRC.
• Serve as SME for operational and training topics across NYISO.
