Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in education, engineering or technology.
• Ten years of related experience.
• Three years of technical training facilitation and/or instructional design preferred.
• Excellent facilitation and presentation skills presenting information to a diverse and technical audience.
• Experience leading the development and modification of operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, development, implementation, and evaluation of NYISO Training programs in accordance with SAT.
• Develop instructional design, needs assessments, adult learning theory and training fidelity assessments.
• Acquire and maintain applications, tools, and facilities to provide realistic training environments.
• Develop trainer and SME adult learning theory knowledge.
• Evaluate and propose innovative training experiences.
• Manage NYISO Operations Training participation in NPCC, IRC, NERC, and NATF working groups and committees.
• Develop and maintain Operator Training Procedures to ensure compliance with NERC/NPCC/NYSRC rules.
• Evaluate, select, and implement Learning Management Software to support course development and audits.
• Select, develop, and manage trainers and engineers for NYISO Operator Training programs.
• Prepare and monitor Operator Training budgets; negotiate contracts.
• Maintain documentation and reporting on training needs and programs delivered.
