Bowman Williams is seeking a System Administrator to support multiple MSP clients in a hybrid role with regular NYC client visits. The position combines remote support with onsite work, focusing on uptime, security, and responsive service.

The ideal candidate has MSP experience, 2+ years of hands-on IT support, and strong communication skills. You will work with senior engineers on infrastructure initiatives and modernization efforts while meeting SLA requirements.

Qualifications

• MSP experience required.

• Strong troubleshooting for workstations, desktops, laptops, and systems.
• Experience with ConnectWise or similar PSA/ticketing platform.
• Excellent client communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple MSP client environments through a combination of remote and onsite work.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user, workstation, application, connectivity, and general IT issues.
• Prepare for and execute scheduled client appointments across New York City.
• Build, configure, and deploy desktops and laptops.
• Manage assigned tickets from initial response through resolution and follow up.
• Maintain accurate time entries, ticket notes, and client documentation.
• Identify changes in project or support scope and coordinate with the remote technical team.
• Serve as a trusted technical point of contact for assigned clients.
• Manage your calendar and workload to consistently meet SLA requirements.
• Partner with senior engineers on infrastructure improvements, deployments, and modernization initiatives.

Hybrid MSP System Administrator

We are a premium New York City based Managed Services Provider hiring a System Administrator to support clients across financial services, legal, and other professional services environments.

This is a hybrid role for an experienced MSP technician who enjoys owning client issues, working independently, and collaborating with senior engineers on more advanced infrastructure initiatives.

You will split your time between remote support and onsite client appointments while helping deliver the high touch service expected by organizations where uptime, security, and responsiveness are critical.

What You Will Own

• Support multiple MSP client environments through a combination of remote and onsite work

What We Are Looking For

• MSP experience supporting multiple client environments is required
• 2+ years of hands on onsite or client facing IT support experience
• Strong workstation, desktop, laptop, and general systems troubleshooting skills
• Experience building and configuring desktops and laptops
• Experience with ConnectWise or a similar PSA and ticketing platform
• Strong client communication, documentation, and customer service skills
• Ability to independently manage tickets, priorities, and client appointments
• Must be local to New York City and comfortable traveling to client sites
