Job summary

SafeSplashSwimLabs Newington is seeking a lifeguard to monitor the pool area, respond to emergencies, and maintain a clean, safe facility.

You will work in a role that requires vigilance and quick action, with training opportunities and a schedule that fits your life. Prior water-safety credentials are required and you must meet Red Cross standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
• Red Cross CPR/AED certification for adult, infant and swimmer.
• Previous swim instruction experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the pool area and act immediately to ensure safety.
• Provide emergency care and treatment until EMS arrival.
• Perform duties to keep the facility clean and safe.
• Ensure the pool area is supervised in accordance with American Red Cross standards.

What will you do as a Lifeguard?

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the pool area; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of customers in the event of an emergency


• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services


• Perform various duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility


• Make sure the pool area is always properly supervised and attended in accordance to American Red Cross standards
  

What are we looking for in a Lifeguard?

• Maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification, Red Cross CPR/AED certification for adult, infant and swimmer


• Previous swim instruction experience is required


• Must be able to successfully complete all lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards
