Job summary

SafeSplash is seeking a Lifeguard to oversee the safety of our students, parents, and staff. You report to the General Manager and ensure a safe environment for all participants while delivering exceptional service with a friendly presence.

The role requires lifeguard certification, CPR-PR, First Aid, and AED, plus the ability to work weekdays, weeknights, and weekends. Training is provided, and on-site work is required. Join us in making a positive impact on children's lives.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard Certification is required and must be maintained during employment.
• CPR-PR, First Aid, and AED certifications required within 30 days of hire.
• Expected to learn the curriculum to include all safety aspects within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Comfortable working around water and interacting with children and parents.
• Must be able to lift and push up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for long periods

Responsibilities

• Safety monitoring and constant surveillance of customers.
• Report unsafe activities, equipment, or instruction to management.
• Provide immediate feedback to instructors if safety rules are not followed.
• Act quickly to secure safety during emergencies.
• Provide emergency care and treatment until EMS arrives.
• Prepare incident reports as required.
• Maintain a professional and engaging attitude at all times.
• Attend monthly in-services to improve lifeguarding skills

Responsibilities

• Safety
• Maintain constant surveillance to ensure the safety of our customers and report any unsafe activities, equipment or instruction to management.
• Provide feedback to instructors immediately if they are outside of curriculum safety requirements (i.e. safety distances, holds, turning backs, etc.)
• Act immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of customers in the event of an emergency.
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Prepare appropriate incident reports.
• Always present a professional and engaging attitude.
• Attend monthly in-services to continue to work on lifeguarding skills.

Job Type

• Weekdays, Weeknights and Weekends required
• 10+ hours a week (seasonality can impact this)
