Job summary

A leading swim school franchise in Alexandria is seeking a passionate Lifeguard to ensure the safety of patrons. Responsibilities include maintaining constant surveillance of the pool area, providing emergency care, and upholding American Red Cross safety standards. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Lifeguard and CPR/AED certification, with previous swim instruction experience preferred. Qualifications

What will you do as a Lifeguard?

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the pool area; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of customers in the event of an emergency
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
• Perform various duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility
• Make sure the pool area is always properly supervised and attended in accordance to American Red Cross standards

What are we looking for in a Lifeguard?

• Maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification, Red Cross CPR/AED certification for adult, infant and swimmer
• Previous swim instruction experience is required
• Must be able to successfully complete all lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards
