Job summary

SafeSplashSwimLabs in Newington, VA is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure the safety of pool patrons and provide critical emergency care as needed. The role requires Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR/AED certifications, with prior swim instruction experience preferred, and adherence to ARC safety standards.

You will supervise the pool area, maintain a clean, safe environment, and participate in ongoing training and development. Competitive pay and flexible scheduling accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification and CPR/AED certifications.
• Previous swim instruction experience is required.
• Must complete lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the pool area and act quickly in emergencies.
• Provide emergency care and treatment until EMS arrival.
• Keep the facility clean and safe.
• Ensure the pool area is supervised per American Red Cross standards.

What will you do as a Lifeguard?

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the pool area; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of customers in the event of an emergency
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
• Perform various duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility
• Make sure the pool area is always properly supervised and attended in accordance to American Red Cross standards

What are we looking for in a Lifeguard?

• Maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification, Red Cross CPR/AED certification for adult, infant and swimmer
• Previous swim instruction experience is required
• Must be able to successfully complete all lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards

Compensation: $16.35 per hour
