Job summary

PAE CONSULTING ENGINEERS INC is seeking an on-site internship in Portland, OR, focused on sustainable engineering design. The program offers hands-on experience in building systems, energy modeling, and design documentation within a collaborative team.

Interns will work with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing teams on real projects, gaining exposure to the full design process from planning to site execution. The internship runs 10–12 weeks with a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• 3rd year undergraduate student preferred.
• Desire to work in the Building Design industry.
• Passionate about sustainable design solutions.
• Effective communicator.
• Experience with CAD/Revit is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Design layout of HVAC ductwork, hydronic, and plumbing
• Construction administration and site visits

• Weather and climatic data gathering, support on eco-charrettes
