Job summary

PAE is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team in multiple major office locations, including San Francisco, CA. The internship provides hands‑on experience in sustainable engineering design, with exposure to building systems, energy modeling, and cost estimation.

You’ll work directly with engineering teams on projects ranging from retrofits to Living Buildings, gaining insight into the full design process from planning to occupancy.

Qualifications

• 3rd year undergraduate preferred.
• Desire to work in the Building Design industry.
• Passionate about sustainable design solutions.
• Effective communicator.

Responsibilities

• CAD and Revit work.
• Energy modeling.
• Design calculations.
• HVAC/ductwork and plumbing layout planning.
