Job summary

PAE is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our building design teams in Portland, OR. The internship provides hands-on experience across electrical design, load calculations, and sustainability-focused projects within our multi-office network.

As an intern, you will work on-site, learn from experienced engineers, and contribute to real-world Living Buildings and energy-efficient systems design. This paid program runs 10–12 weeks, with competitive benefits and equity in pay.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Interest in sustainable design and building systems.
• Willingness to work on-site in Portland, OR.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical load calculations and block loads.
• Assist with schematic design narratives and NEC reviews.
• Research PV, wind, fuel cell technologies and emerging energy options.
• Support layout/design/calculations of PV systems and related components.
• Contribute to site visits and observation reports.
