Job summary

PAE offers an on-site Mechanical Engineering Internship across multiple major offices, including Boston, with a focus on sustainable building design. You will work directly with our engineering and design teams to develop designs, perform energy modeling, and contribute to project delivery from planning through occupancy.

Responsibilities include CAD/Revit detailing, HVAC and plumbing design, energy and water data analyses, and coordination with M/E teams, suppliers, and field staff.

Qualifications

• 3rd year undergraduate student preferred.
• Desire to work in the Building Design industry.
• Passionate about sustainable design solutions.
• Effective communicator.

Responsibilities

• CAD and Revit for building designs.
• Energy modeling.
• Design calculations.
• Design layout of HVAC ductwork, hydronic, and plumbing.
• Construction administration and site visits.
• Weather and climatic data gathering.
• Energy and water data analysis.
• Site visits and coordination meetings.
