Job summary

PAE CONSULTING ENGINEERS INC invites a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team in multiple major offices, including New York, NY. This on-site role offers hands-on experience in sustainable building design and energy-conscious engineering practices, with an hourly base rate of $21.00–$27.00.

You will work with CAD, Revit, energy modeling, and HVAC system layout, gaining exposure to design calculations, site visits, and commissioning within a collaborative design environment.

Qualifications

• 3rd year undergraduate student preferred.
• Desire to work in the Building Design industry.
• Passionate about sustainable design solutions.
• Effective communicator.

Responsibilities

• CAD and Revit execution on projects.
• Energy modeling of building systems.
• Perform design calculations.
• Create HVAC ductwork and plumbing layouts.
• Support construction administration and site visits.
• Assist commissioning activities.
• Gather weather and climate data for charrettes.
• Analyze energy and water data (EUI, WUI).
