Job summary

PAE is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for our team in Boston, MA, with opportunities at multiple locations. The role focuses on sustainable engineering design, CAD, Revit, energy modeling, and coordination of M/E systems in real projects.

The internship is 10–12 weeks, on-site, with an hourly base rate of $21.00–$27.00. Ideal candidates are 3rd year undergraduates passionate about sustainable design and strong communicators who can contribute to Living Buildings and other

Qualifications

• 3rd year undergraduate student preferred
• Desire to work in the Building Design industry
• Passionate about sustainable design solutions
• Effective communicator
• Mechanical coursework in Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer (preferred)

Responsibilities

• CAD and Revit work on building projects
• Energy modeling and analysis
• Design calculations and HVAC/plumbing layouts
• Site visits and construction administration support
• Assist with quantity takeoffs and specifications
• Coordinate M/E systems with design teams
• Prepare project documentation and reports
