Job summary

Trane Technologies in Grand Rapids, Michigan is seeking a Project Developer to support design-build and energy performance contracting within Energy Services. You will work with internal teams and clients to scope projects, estimate costs, quantify energy savings, and prepare proposals as part of a leading ESCO.

The role requires a four-year degree, strong project management, and knowledge of HVAC systems, energy rebates, and subcontractor coordination.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering, Technical field, or Business.
• Experience with cost and energy savings analyses.
• Knowledge of energy rebate programs and utility tariffs.
• Ability to audit mechanical/building systems and propose improvements.
• Project Management and ESCO experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC systems and solutions including scoping, concept development, engineering analysis, and validation.
• Support account managers with budgets and RFQs for subcontractors.
• Provide technical support on strategic project acquisitions.
• Manage design through construction documents and project transition.
• Identify process improvements for Design-Build Turnkey and ESPC.
