Job summary

Trane Technologies Energy Services in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Sr. Project Developer to identify and develop turnkey design-build and energy performance contracting projects. You will scope work, estimate costs, collaborate with energy engineers, and support proposals.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering, Technical field or Business required.
• Working knowledge of cost and savings studies incorporating ECM.
• Knowledge of energy rebate programs, utility tariffs and bill analysis.
• Ability to audit existing mechanical/building systems and recommend solutions.
• Understand construction methods and communicate with subcontractors for proposals.
• Project management and ESCO experience required.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and building construction industry.
• Ability to write HVAC sequence of operations; design software skills beneficial.
• Proficiency in Visio, AutoCAD; energy simulation tools a plus.
• Team player with reliability and flexibility for travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC systems using Trane equipment and other leading systems.
• Scope projects, develop budgets, and prepare RFQs with plans and specs.
• Provide technical support on strategic acquisition teams.
• Manage design through construction documents and approvals.
• Validate and improve Design-Build Turnkey and ESPC processes.
• Secure customers from development through project transition.
• Support acquisition efforts and customer satisfaction.
