Job summary

Trane Technologies invites students to join its summer internship program as a Construction Project Manager Intern, gaining hands-on experience across North America. You will work closely with project managers and engineers to plan, schedule, and manage project execution while learning budgeting, procurement, and contractor coordination.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree for the entire duration of the internship.
• Must have completed at least the sophomore year before start date.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
• U.S. citizen or have the right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Posting may be remote, hybrid, or onsite across North America.

Responsibilities

• Planning and coordinating assigned projects, establishing schedules and parameters, and setting procedures to accomplish system objectives.
• Collaborating with the engineering team to support programming and material selection for projects.
• Assisting in establishing and maintaining an operations budget for projects and monitoring forecasted cost at completion.
• Preparing for subcontractor RFQs, statements of work, milestones, and billing schedules.
• Receiving and qualifying subcontractor proposals and supervising assigned staff, subcontractors, and installers.
• Communicating with contractors, subcontractors and owners about scope, budgets, performance, and issues.
