Job summary

Union New American in Tampa (Westshore City Center) is seeking skilled Sushi Cooks to join our team across various shifts, including nights and weekends. You will produce all assigned menu items efficiently, following Next Level Brands’ specifications and maintaining strict sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a Sushi chef is a must.

• Basic knife skills and kitchen equipment knowledge.
• Must be able to obtain food safety certification.

Union New American, located at the Westshore City Center in Tampa is the go-to for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch with globally inspired fare. Guests can also enjoy a private event space on the second floor.

We are looking for creative, hardworking Sushi chefs that are able to work various shifts including nights and weekends. They are responsible for producing all assigned menu items in an efficient and consistent manner while following Next Level Brands’ specifications, recipes and technique and maintaining sanitation standards.

Physical Requirements

• Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks, including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing and pulling for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and transport food and other items weighing up to 30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours during a single shift, while possibly navigating ramps, stairs, and elevators.
