Job summary

Urban Resource Institute (URI) invites applications for a Case Manager at the Bronx Family Justice Center in New York. The role provides direct services to victims of domestic and gender-based violence on-site, including intake, safety planning, advocacy, and access to shelters.

You will coordinate with legal and social service partners, maintain confidential records, and support clients through family court processes while upholding survivor-centered, trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• Experience with survivors of domestic violence preferred.
• Strong communication, writing, and trauma-informed approach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intakes and assess the needs of survivors of gender-based violence, using a client-centered trauma-informed approach.
• Provide essential case management services, including safety planning, advocacy for shelter access, crisis intervention, and court accompaniment.
• Assist clients with navigating the family court system, including filing petitions.
• Support clients with emergency assistance such as transportation and financial aid.
• Provide referrals to onsite and offsite partners in legal, social, mental health services.
• Collaborate with onsite partner agencies to streamline service provision.
• Maintain digital records of services and enter data into the FJC system.
• Adhere to confidentiality practices and data security.
