Job summary

BKF is seeking a Project Operations Manager to lead the administrative and operational functions of the Survey project delivery team. You will manage workflows, budgets, staffing, contracts, and compliance, enabling technical staff to focus on client work.

Responsibilities include monitoring budgets, billing, reports, and cross‑department coordination, while driving process improvements and ensuring quality across multiple projects and disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 8+ years in project operations, administration, or business operations within engineering, surveying, construction, or professional services.
• Strong understanding of project financials, billing, and contract administration.
• Experience supporting multidisciplinary project teams.
• Familiar with Deltek, Ajera, Vision or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day administrative operations for assigned project teams, ensuring consistent execution of standards.
• Coordinate project setup, documentation, filing, and closeout processes.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics with Project Managers.
• Oversee billing, contract values, amendments, and change orders.
• Support staffing coordination to balance workloads and maximize utilization.
• Develop standardized tools and workflows for consistent project execution.
• Provide mentoring to project administrators and coordinators.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and client procedures.
• Assist with onboarding of new team members to projects and systems.
• Foster cross-discipline communication to resolve bottlenecks.
