Job summary

BKF seeks a Project Operations Manager to lead administrative and operational functions for the Survey project delivery team. You’ll drive schedules, financial controls, staffing coordination, contract administration, and process improvements across multiple projects.

In this role you will partner with Project Managers to monitor budgets and performance, oversee billing, and ensure compliance with contracts and client procedures. Travel to BKF locations and client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in project operations within engineering, surveying, construction, or professional services.
• Strong understanding of project financials, billing, and contracts.
• Experience supporting multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proficiency with project management/accounting systems; Deltek/Ajera/Vision preferred.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day administrative operations for assigned project teams, ensuring execution of standards.
• Manage project setup, documentation, filing, and closeouts.
• Coordinate workflows among PMs, survey crews, engineers, accounting, and admin staff.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics with Project Managers.
• Oversee billing processes and track contract values and changes.
• Support staffing, onboarding, and pursuit-to-execution handoffs.
• Develop standardized tools and workflows to improve delivery efficiency.
• Provide guidance to project admins and coordinators to ensure client service.
