Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry in Richland, WA is seeking a permanent full-time Survey Crew Leader. You will operate survey equipment, maintain field notes, supervise a small crew, collect boundary and topographic data, and ensure map accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years’ experience, a valid driver’s license, and a mindset of ownership. Preferred degrees in Land Surveying or LSIT/Lsi certification, strong communication, and safety focus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a Survey Crew Leader or similar
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Ownership mindset and willingness to step in to support projects
• Strong safety focus and communication skills
• Leadership and ability to mentor field crew

Responsibilities

• Operate survey equipment (Trimble, GPS, laser scanners) and collect data for boundary/topographic surveys
• Maintain clear, accurate field notes and quality control maps
• Supervise a 1–2 person field crew and mentor team members
• Ensure survey data accuracy and readiness for final maps
• Pursue professional development and LSIT/PLS exam readiness
