Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry in The Dalles, OR is seeking a permanent full-time Survey Crew Leader to join a growing, multidisciplinary team. You will operate Trimble robotic total stations, GPS, laser scanners, and data collectors, maintain clear field notes, and lead a one- to two-person crew on boundary, topographic, industrial, and construction surveys.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years’ leadership experience, a valid driver's license, a safety-first mindset, and strong written and verbal

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years’ relevant experience as Survey Crew Leader.
• Must have valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Strong commitment to safety in the field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate survey equipment including Trimble Robotic Total Stations, GPS, laser scanners, and TSC5 data collectors.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and professional field notes.
• Supervise and mentor field crew personnel and lead a one‑ to two‑person crew.
• Collect data for boundary, topographic, industrial, and construction surveys.
• Conduct quality control by reviewing final maps and ensuring accuracy.
• Pursue professional development to prepare for LSIT/PLS exams.
