Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry seeks a Survey Crew Leader in Oregon to operate a variety of survey instruments and lead a small field crew. You will collect boundary, topographic, industrial, and construction data and ensure maps meet quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of Survey Crew Leader experience, a clean driver’s record, and a mindset to take ownership beyond assigned tasks while maintaining field safety and accuracy. Growth opportunities are strong.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ relevant experience as a Survey Crew Leader.
• Must have valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Demonstrated growth in responsibilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate surveying equipment including Trimble Robotic Total Stations, GPS, laser scanners, and TSC5 data collectors.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and professional field notes.
• Supervise and mentor field crew personnel and lead a 1–2 person crew.
• Collect data for boundary, topographic, industrial, and construction surveys.
• Conduct quality control by reviewing final maps and ensuring accuracy.
• Pursue professional development to expand knowledge and LSIT/PLS exam prep.
