Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry, LLC is seeking a permanent full-time Survey Crew Leader. You will operate survey equipment, supervise a small field crew, and collect data for boundary, topographic, industrial, and construction surveys.

Strong emphasis on accuracy, safety, and mentoring team members is required. The role offers opportunities for professional growth, on-the-job training, and advancement within a well-respected civil engineering and land surveying firm in the Tri-Cities area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years’ relevant experience as a Survey Crew Leader.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Do what needs to be done mindset and ownership of tasks.
• Strong safety commitment in field operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate survey equipment including Trimble Robotic Total Stations, GPS, laser scanners, and TSC5 data collectors.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and professional field notes.
• Supervise and mentor field crew personnel and lead a one-to-two-person crew.
• Collect data for boundary, topographic, industrial, and construction surveys.
• Conduct quality control by reviewing final maps and ensuring accuracy.
• Pursue professional development to expand knowledge and LSIT/PLS exam prep.
