Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry in Oregon is seeking a permanent full-time Survey Crew Leader to guide field operations and ensure data quality while mentoring a small crew.

You will operate Trimble Robotic Total Stations, GPS, scanners, and data collectors; maintain field notes; and contribute to boundary and topographic surveys. A valid driver's license and 2+ years of leadership in surveying are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Survey Crew Leader.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ownership mindset and willingness to step in wherever needed.
• Strong commitment to safety in the field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate survey equipment (Trimble RTs, GPS, scanners).
• Maintain clear field notes.
• Supervise and mentor field crew (1–2 people).
• Collect data for boundary, topographic, industrial, and construction surveys.
• Conduct quality control by reviewing final maps for accuracy.
• Pursue LSIT/PLS exams and professional development.
