Job summary

Bowman Consulting in Austin, TX seeks a Survey CAD Technician II to support project deliverables and contract documents. You will learn from senior staff while performing boundary analyses, drafting, and stakeout-related tasks in a collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years CAD/survey experience, familiarity with Carlson/Bentley/Revit tools, and a willingness to advance toward licensure. Competitive benefits and local travel may apply.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of survey and/or CAD experience in land development/land survey.
• High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• Knowledge of design concepts and technical calculations.
• Survey licensure a plus; Surveyor-In-Training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, convert information into electronically generated drawings and documents with accuracy.
• Perform boundary computations and analyze field data to determine property lines.
• Draft final house location surveys from field notes and measurements.
• Compute horizontal positions for stakeouts and survey features.
• Check record plats for completeness and submit plots for county review.
• Gain knowledge of ALTA surveys, topo surveys, and staking procedures.
• Perform complex computations for traverse, boundary surveys, and construction layout.
