Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of survey and/or CAD experience in land development/land survey.
• Knowledge of basic design concepts and technical calculations.
• Surveyor-In-Training certificate preferred; relevant licensure a plus.
• Proficiency with Carlson, Bentley Inroads/Geopak, Revit or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Convert information into electronically generated drawings and project documents with accuracy and speed.
• Perform horizontal computations for boundary surveys and analyses of field data to determine property lines.
• Draft final house location surveys from field notes and measurements.
• Compute horizontal positions for stakeouts of buildings, streets, and curbs.
• Check record plats for completeness and submit plots to county review.
• Gain knowledge of ALTA Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys, and various boundary survey practices.
• Perform complex computations for traverse, boundary surveys, construction stakeouts, and related tasks.
• May perform land development surveys including ALTA, topographic, and subdivision layout.
