Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking a Survey CAD Technician II in Houston, TX to assist in preparing project deliverables and contract documents following company standards and client requirements.

You will work under supervision with senior staff, converting field information into accurate drawings, performing boundary survey computations, and drafting survey documents. Knowledge of Carlson/Bentley/Revit is preferred, with an emphasis on ALTA and land development surveys.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of survey and CAD experience in land development/land survey.
• Proficiency with land surveying concepts and basic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, convert information into drawings and project documents accurately and quickly.
• Compute horizontal positions for boundary surveys, stakeouts, and related analyses.
• Draft final house location surveys from field notes and measurements.
• Check record plats for completeness before review submission.
• Learn ALTA Land Title Surveys, topographic, boundary, and subdivision stakeout procedures.
• Perform complex computations for traverse, record plats, and related tasks.
