Job summary

Bowman in Austin, TX seeks a Survey CAD Technician II to support project deliverables and contract documents. You’ll work with senior staff to convert information into accurate drawings, perform boundary analyses, and draft survey documents in alignment with design standards.

Requirements include 3+ years of survey/CAD experience, knowledge of design concepts, and proficiency with Carlson, Bentley Inroads/Geopak or Revit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred.
• Three or more years of survey and/or CAD experience.
• Knowledge of basic design concepts and calculations.
• Survey licensure a plus.
• Experience with Carlson, Bentley Inroads/Geopak or Revit.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, convert information into CAD drawings and project documents.
• Perform horizontal computations for boundary surveys and stakeouts.
• Draft final house location surveys from field notes and measurements.
• Compute horizontal positions for buildings, streets, and curbs for stakeouts.
• Check record plats for completeness before review.
• Submit plots to county for review.
• Gain knowledge of ALTA, topographic and boundary surveys and related practices.
• Perform complex computations for traverses and surveys.
• May complete land development related surveys.
