Job summary

Bowman Consulting in Houston, TX is seeking a Survey CAD Technician I to join our team and support field crews by producing accurate survey drawings under supervision.

You will assist with boundary and ALTA surveys, topographic mapping, and final document preparation using Carlson, Bentley Inroads/Geopak, and Revit. Entry-level applicants are encouraged to apply and grow with the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Entry level position; no prior experience required. CAD experience a plus in land development/land survey.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Knowledge of ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, construction layout, boundary surveys, and subdivision work.
• Demonstrated familiarity with land surveying and/or surface modeling software such as Carlson, Bentley Inroads/Geopak, Revit, or similar civil engineering design software.

Responsibilities

• Work under direct supervision of an experienced professional and follow established procedures.
• Learn and assist in survey and mapping work with senior staff.
• Convert information into electronically generated drawings and project documents with accuracy.
• Compute horizontal positions for plan buildings, streets, curbs for stakeouts and analyze field data.
• Check record plats for completeness prior to submission and submit plots to county for review.
• Gain knowledge of ALTA Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys and boundary surveys.
• Perform complex computations for traverse, record plats, boundary surveys, construction stakeouts and more.
