Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an LPN for the NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit. You will administer medications, manage IV piggybacks, and document assessments following RN-led initial evaluations. Collaboration with RNs and physicians is essential to deliver safe, high-quality care.

The unit is 43 beds with a high-acuity, collaborative culture, offering growth and education resources, and a $2,500 sign-on bonus for external applicants with a 2-year commitment.

Qualifications

• LPN certification required; Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
• Education: College Diploma as LPN (Required).
• Work Experience: LPN >1yr.

Responsibilities

• Passes medications and hangs IV piggybacks and fluids.
• Charts assessments and care plans after RN completes initial assessment.
• Coordinate with physicians/APPs for orders and care coordination.
• Complete trach care, NG tube insertions, ostomy care and discharge education.
