Job summary

Carle Health seeks an experienced LPN for the NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit, a 43-bed, high-acuity unit and bariatric-certified facility. You will provide bedside nursing under RN supervision, administer meds, manage IVs, and assist with complex care plans in a collaborative team.

The role emphasizes quick assessment, teamwork with RNs, and patient-focused care in a surgical setting with opportunities for growth. A $2,500 sign-on bonus applies with a 2-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Illinois (IDFPR).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Education: College Diploma in Licensed Practical Nurse (Required).
• Experience: LPN >1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Passes all medications and administers IV piggybacks per protocol.
• Chart assessments after RN performs initial assessment and initiates care plan.
• Document care plans and collaborate with RN for new orders.
• Perform dressing changes, dressing care and wound care as needed.
• Support with trach care and NG tube management as required.
