Job summary

Carle Health seeks an LPN for the NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit. Responsibilities include med passes, IV piggybacks, and assisting with care plans after RN assessments. You will support 43-bed surgical patients, including bariatric and high-acuity cases, in a high-activity tower.

Ideal candidates hold an IL LPN license with BLS, and have 1+ year of LPN experience. The role offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a strong unit team focusing on safety and education.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with IL license, BLS within 30 days.
• 1+ year of LPN experience preferred, acute care setting beneficial.
• Experience with surgical/critical care units is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and IV piggybacks; monitor patient response.
• Chart assessments and assist with care plans after RN assessment.
• Perform trach care, NG tube care, and ostomy care as ordered.
• Coordinate with physicians/APPs to receive orders and follow discharge instructions.
