Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree or certificate in Surgical Technology required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
• Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology and pharmacology.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile environment using aseptic technique.
• Assists in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment.
• Communicates with nursing staff and other departments; acts as liaison.
• Documentation and data collection according to unit standards.
• Transcribes orders, schedules tests and prepares patient charts.
