Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Surgical Technician to support the perioperative team as a scrub, first or second circulator under RN supervision. The role emphasizes asepsis, equipment management, and collaboration with surgeons to ensure availability of trays and supplies for each procedure.

Required are an Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology certification, BLS within 30 days, and strong knowledge of anatomy, sterile technique, and perioperative care. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or Surgical Technology program completion.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
• Fundamental knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology and pharmacology.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile environment and asepsis during procedures.
• Assists with supplies and equipment organization for efficiency.
• Communicates with nursing staff and units; schedules tests and tests etc.
• Documents patient data and transcribes physician orders accurately.
• Prepares patient and assists with activities of daily living.
