Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the perioperative team as a scrub, circulator, or first assistant under RN supervision. The role involves maintaining asepsis, preparing patients, and coordinating supplies for efficient procedures.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate’s Degree with Surgical Technology training and in-hospital BLS certification within 30 days. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available, reflecting Carle Health’s commitment to a strong team.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree and Surgical Technology training required.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
Strong knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative care.

Responsibilities

Maintain sterile environment and assist in aseptic procedures for surgeries.
Assist in organizing supplies and equipment to keep the department efficient.
Facilitate communication with nursing staff and OR team during procedures.
Document patient data and assist with charting and scheduling as directed.
Prepare patients for transportation and support activities of daily living.
Collaborate with surgeons and circulators to ensure needed trays and instruments are ready.
