Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the perioperative team as a scrub or assistant circulator under RN supervision. You will help maintain a sterile environment, assist with room setup, and coordinate with the OR team for each procedure.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology credential and BLS within 30 days, with opportunities for professional growth and involvement in patient care within Carle Health’s perioperative services.

Qualifications

• Independently scrubs basic surgical procedures.
• Demonstrates knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, microbiology, and pharmacology for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile environment and asepsis principles.
• Organizes supplies and equipment for efficient operation.
• Communicates with nursing staff and other departments to coordinate tests and procedures.
• Documents patient data and orders accurately in records.
• Prepares patients for transportation and activity of daily living.
