Qualifications

• Independently scrubs basic surgical procedures with asepsis.
• Applied knowledge of anatomy, physiology, terminology, microbiology, and pharmacology.
• Demonstrates understanding of electricity, chemistry, computers, robotics, and lasers for surgical care.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile environment and demonstrates competency in chosen technical skills.
• Assists in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment.
• Facilitates communication between units and nursing staff.
• Documents patient data and orders in records per standards.
• Prepares patients for transport and assists with activities of daily living.
• Collaborates with surgeons and OR team to ensure trays and supplies are ready.
