Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program is required.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers is required.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains aseptic technique and its application throughout procedures.
• Assists in obtaining/organizing supplies and instruments before, during and after procedures.
• Supports the RN circulator in patient prep, instrument setup and room turnover.
• Performs duties per department policy and procedure.
• Monitors sterility of supplies and documents charges accurately.
• Attends in-services and participates in performance improvement activities.
