Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and BLS for Healthcare Provider current.
• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program; OR experience required.
• NBSTSA/NCCT certification preferred; ST II qualifications meet criteria.

Responsibilities

• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments before, during, and after procedures.
• Assists RN circulator with patient prep, instrument assembly, and specimen disposition.
• Monitors sterility of supplies and documents utilization and charges accurately.
• Participates in room turnover and performance improvement activities.
• May serve as preceptor and clinical resource as needed.
