Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the evening shift to manage instruments, supplies, and equipment before, during, and after surgeries. Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required; 6 months surgical tech experience may substitute education.
• 6 months recent surgical technologist OR experience required.
• Graduation from Surgical Technologist Program may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Check supplies and equipment per the preference card.
• Maintain sterile technique and report any breach.
• Set up sterile table with instruments, supplies, and equipment before patient entry.
• Assist surgeon by handing instruments and assisting with sutures as directed.
• Position patient on OR table and apply sterile dressings post-procedure.
• Provide timely reports on patient status to oncoming personnel.
