Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand in Ohio is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in operating room procedures under the supervision of surgeons and nurses. You will prepare the OR, handle sterile supplies, and support the surgical team before, during, and after operations.

The role requires 0–2 years of clinical experience and CPR certification; certification is preferred but not required. A strong focus on patient safety and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Certification preferred but not required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical tech program; or Armed Forces training program for surgical technologists; or equivalent training.
• Must be certified to perform CPR.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Sets up operating room with instruments, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions.
• Tends to patient during pre-operation procedures following hospital regulations and procedures.
• Pre-operation skin and equipment preparation.
• Assembles and checks sterile and non-sterile equipment; ensures proper working order.
• Prepares patients by washing, shaving, and disinfecting incision sites.
• Transports and positions patients, covers with sterile drapes.
• Monitors vital signs, assists with sterile gowning and gloving.
• Passes instruments to surgeons and assistants.
• Counts sponges, needles, and supplies; helps with specimens.
