Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Must be certified to perform CPR with 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Set up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and solutions for operations.
• Tends to patient during pre-operation procedures and prepares incision sites.
• Assembles and checks sterile and non-sterile equipment for use.
• Assists in transporting and positioning patients for surgery and applying drapes.
• Assists surgeons with instruments and supplies; helps with sutures and specimens.
• Operates sterilizers, lights, suction, and diagnostic equipment as needed.
• Transferrs patients to recovery and restocks the operating room after procedures.
