Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand is seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room. The role involves preparing equipment, setting up sterile fields, and supporting the surgical team under physician and RN supervision.

Qualifications: surgical tech program graduate, CPR certification, and 0–2 years of related clinical experience. Certification preferred but not required. Must be available 2-3 days per week with 16–24 hours on average.

• 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Set up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, sterile solutions before operations.
• Tends to patient during pre-operation under supervision of surgeon or nurse.
• Performs pre-operation skin prep and prepares medical equipment.
• Assembles sterile and non-sterile equipment and checks functionality.
• Gets patients ready for surgery, including cleaning and prepping incision sites.
• Transports patients to the operating room and positions them on the table.
• Assists team with applying gowns, gloves, and maintaining sterile field.
• Passes instruments to surgeons and assistants during procedures.
• Counts sponges, needles, and supplies; handles specimens and dressings.
• Operates sterilizers, lights, suction, and diagnostic equipment as needed.
• Post-operation, transfers patients to recovery and restocks room.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
