Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technologist in Cleveland to assist in the operating room under surgeons and nursing staff. You will prepare instruments, maintain sterile fields, and support the team before, during, and after procedures.

The role requires completion of an accredited surgical tech program or equivalent training, CPR certification, and up to 2 years of clinical experience. Certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Certification in CPR preferred or required.
• Graduation from an accredited surgical tech program or equivalent training.
• 0–2 years of clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Sets up operating room with sterile instruments, drapes, and solutions.
• Tends to patient during pre-operation procedures and ensures sterilization.
• Performs pre-operation skin prep and equipment checks.
• Assembles sterile and non-sterile equipment and verifies functionality.
• Transports and positions patients, prepares incision sites.
• Assists with gowning, gloving, and instrument passing to surgeons.
• Counts sponges, needles, and instruments; handles specimens.
• Operates sterilizers, lights, suction machines, and diagnostic equipment.
• Transports patients to recovery and restocks the OR after operations.
