Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months.
• No experience required.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and OR equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides a clean, safe and efficient area conducive to optimal patient care.
• Utilizes aseptic surgical techniques in preparation of materials and equipment.
• Assists in gowning/gloving, preparation and draping, and sterile field maintenance.
• Sets up operating room, moves equipment, and ensures instrument readiness.
• Functions as a Second Assistant as necessary and reports equipment issues.
• Transports patients and supplies and maintains supply carts.
